Power free conveyor - type PF1500 and PF80Power & Free conveyors are used for transport of mass produced products intended for different processes, or for stopping in required areas, while other trolleys are running in the system.
The Power & Free track is built up of 2 tracks. The cardanchain, which is mounted with pulling dogs, runs in the upper track and the trolleys run in the lower track. These capable of being mechanically engaged/disengaged from the pulling dogs in the cardanchain.
The cardanchain runs continuously and when a trolley is required to stop, a stop is activated, which disconnects the next trolley from the pulling dog in the chain. The following trolleys run into the waiting trolleys and are disconnected from the chain. The trolleys are accumulated in a buffer zone.
When the first trolley is required to be dispatched, the stop will open and the next chain pulling dog is engaged to the trolley, which leaves the buffer zone and continuous to the next destination. As soon as the trolley has left the stop, this closes automatically, and the accumulated line of trolleys moves forward 1 trolley length.
The trolleys are capable of running to and from different areas in the system by means of switch tracks.
The destination of the trolleys is controlled by electronic number plates, which are read before every switch track.
The systems are built up with several chain systems, which enable the trolleys to run at different speeds in specifically desired areas.
The electrical control is built up using PLC and PC systems according to our customer’s wishes and need for information and logistics.
